The 2020 Toyota Stellenbosch University (SU) Woordfees has taken over the quaint university of the town of Stellenbosch in an artistic fashion. It should, however, come as no surprise considering that this arts and culture extravaganza has something for everyone – including music, visual art, stand-up comedy, theatre, dance and more. In fact, there are more than 1 000 items on the 2020 Toyota SU Woordfees programme.

With activities spanning the length and breadth of Stellenbosch, Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) has provided 17 Quantum mini-busses to shuttle festival-goers to venues across town. The shuttles – boldly emblazoned with Toyota Woordfees branding on the sides – are available along the park and ride areas, including Feeskern (Ryneveldstraat), Kochstraat, HoërskoolStellenboschandVan der Stel Sports Grounds. The Toyota shuttles operate between 7am and 11pm until the end of Woordfees on 15 March 2020.

Built with passengers in mind, the Quantum is cut and clothed with comfort and convenience as its hallmark. Spacious seating measurements have been attained by increasing the cabin length and width for better legroom and headroom. Passengers will also appreciate the high-performance manual air-conditioning system, which enables control of the air for the rear seat from the AC controller on the instrument panel. Roof-mounted air vents help create a comfortable space for all occupants.

Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing at TSAM, Leon Theron, says: “What better way to kick start our involvement in the Toyota SU Woordfees: we are a mobility solutions organisation and it is, therefore, apt to showcase our expertise in people movement. Most importantly, Toyota has always been synonymous with sports, arts and culture – which makes our association with Woordfees a natural fit. The partnership allows Toyota to play an even bigger role in the development and recognition of arts and culture in our society.”

The Toyota Jan Marais Park and the Van der Stel Sports Ground also play host to the inaugural Toyota-Tawwe Tien (Tough Ten) music concerts. A ticket purchased for Toyota-Tawwe Tien allows festival-goers to watch 10 performances at either venue. Toyota-Tawwe Tien ticket holders can enjoy marathon performances from household names – including Jo Black, Die Heuwels Fantasies, Early B, Spoegwolf and Dr Victor & The Rasta Rebels. Tickets are available at Computicket.
